Can team members edit their own cards with Entra ID integration?
Team members can use the shared SSO URL to log in and edit their digital business cards, but with limited editing capabilities when using Entra ID integration.
What Team Members CAN Edit:
- Fields that are NOT mapped to Entra ID
- Personal sections like bio or personal message (if not mapped)
- Additional contact methods (if not mapped)
- Social media links (if not mapped)
What Team Members CANNOT Edit:
- Fields mapped to Entra ID (name, title, department, company email, etc.)
- Company branding and design elements
- QR code design and functionality
- Template structure and layout
Why This Restriction Exists:
- Maintains data accuracy and consistency
- Ensures compliance with company information policies
- Prevents conflicts between directory data and manual entries
- Maintains professional branding standards
Automatic Updates:
When information changes in Entra ID (promotion, department change, new phone number), the mapped fields automatically update without team member intervention.
Best Practice:
Map essential business information to Entra ID fields and leave optional fields unmapped for team member customization.
