How to claim and personalize a Medical Alert Tag?

If you’ve received a Medical Alert Tag (e.g., bracelet, card, keychain) that uses a QRCodeChimp QR code or contains a link embedded via NFC, you can easily claim and personalize your profile by following the steps below.

Step 1: Scan the Tag (QR or NFC)

• If your tag has a QR code, scan it using your phone’s camera.
• If your tag has NFC, tap it with your phone (make sure NFC is enabled).

In both cases, a link will open to begin the setup process.

Step 2: Tap Get started

After scanning, a pop-up will appear. Click Get Started to begin the claiming process.

Step 3: Sign In or Create an Account

If you are an existing QRCodeChimp user, then sign in to your QRCodeChimp account. If you are new, select the option ‘I’m a new user’.

Now Let’s Personalize Your Medical Tag

Step 1: Set up your profile

After claiming the tag, click Next to start entering your details.

Note: To add advanced features, you can copy or share the link to your desktop via email or messaging apps. Once you receive the link, open it on your desktop, log in, and continue with completing your profile.

Step 2: Choose a template

Select the template that you like for your Medical alert tag and click Next.

Step 3: Upload your photo

Upload your profile picture to the medical alert tag. Then, click on Next.

Step 4: Add your details

Add the details such as your name, description, contact details, emergency contact number, etc.

Enable the ‘Email me on scan’ radio button to get email notifications when someone accesses your medical tag. Now, click Next.

Step 5: Preview your profile

Check your profile and click Save to finish the process.

Step 6: Name your QR code

A pop-up titled ‘Campaign name’ will appear on the screen. Give your Medical alert tag a name and click ‘Save.’

Step 7: Ready to share

Your medical alert tag is now ready to be shared.
